1964 PANHARD 24 CT
Serial number 2308638 Good condition French registration The last model of a big brand is always a touching moment, especially when it is the oldest French car. When you look at a "24", you can't help but wonder why there was no follow-up. The Panhard 24 was presented to the press on June 24, 1963. The type 24 comes from the number of victories of the brand at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, at least as far as the engine is concerned. This new model is low, angular and comes in the form of a two-door, four-window coupe. With its distinctive front end and flat roof, it really looks good. The glass area is huge with the slim pillars supporting the roof. The engine is the prestigious air-cooled flat-twin. The first cars rolled off the assembly line at the end of 1963. For the 1965 model year, the most important change was the adoption of new front disc brakes. Braking was improved at once. The 24 CT is the "sport" version with the 60 HP Tiger engine. A tachometer completes the instrumentation. Even if this last model is technically successful, the Ivry firm will release the last Panhard 24 in September 1967. This will end the civilian life of the brand. Registered for the first time in July 1964, this 24 CT is presented in a beautiful aesthetic state accentuated by its red paintwork well extended on the whole bodywork up to its 15 inches rims. With its futuristic bodywork still very current our model does not go unnoticed. In the cabin, a sporty atmosphere stands out with nice seats, a rev counter and comfort elements like the radio or the clock. Mechanically, the car needs to be overhauled to be able to take to the road with peace of mind. Atypical, modern and futuristic, the 24 CT is the last of the brand that has created so many passions since the beginning of the 20th century; today we offer you the possibility to acquire a piece of history.
