Under the Consulate and the Empire, he became one of Jean-philippe Thomire's competitors and supplied the Imperial Furniture Guard, thus participating in the elaboration of the decoration of the castles of Compiègne and Fontainebleau. He also supplied the Quirinale palace in Rome and Stupinigi in Turin. He retired from business in 1813.
