PRUDHON Pierre-Paul (1758-1823), attributed to. Portrait of Marshal Lefebvre known as Madame Sans-Gêne Sketch in graphite with chalk highlights, on a grey watercolour background. The sketch is annotated at the bottom left in ink: "Study of the hands of Marshal L., more made for ironing than for harping". P.-P. P.". 25 x 19 cm. Circa 1810. On the back, pink stamp of Alexandre Ujlaky, gallery owner and collector in the 1950s in Paris. We enclose a copy of a letter from Michel Castaing, an autograph expert at the same period: "As for the three lines signed P.-P. P., there is undoubtedly a great correspondence with Prud'hon's writing and even one or two characteristic signs...".
