1965 FORD MUSTANG COUPÉ HARD-TOP 289CI
Serial number 5R07A244816 Mythical model FFVE certificate - 846A clearance certificate - California title April 17, 1964 marked a turning point in the history of the automobile industry; on that day, Ford, the world's second largest manufacturer, presented its Mustang at the New York World's Fair. Ford reinvented the automobile for young Americans from the baby boom who were bored with big, heavy cars. Lee Iacocca, then Ford's CEO, had long had a vision of a small, sporty car that would take over the streets. Instead of making yet another version of an existing car, Ford put the pony car concept on wheels. It is available as a hard-top coupe or convertible, then as a fastback from 1965. This Ford Mustang is a nice 1965 Hard-Top Coupe. Originally from California, it arrived in France in 2017. It is presented under a bright red paint that suits it perfectly, and is equipped with chrome in perfect condition. Its Magnum rims mounted on Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires give it a resolutely sporty look. Restored in the past, this Mustang needs some care to regain its former glory. Indeed, a revision of the mechanics and the running gear is to be expected, as well as a reliability upgrade of its electrical equipment. Finally, some sheet metal work will be needed on the undercarriage, especially on the right rear floor which was replaced in the past but needs some finishing touches, as well as on the trunk floor. Nevertheless, the car looks good and its mechanics work well, both in terms of the engine and the automatic transmission. This Mustang will delight American car lovers and offers a great potential for those who want to revive this car myth.
