SEVRES Hard porcelain plate from the Emperor's service in Stupinigi with brown imitation bronze decoration in the center of two torches on a pink background, the wing decorated with vases, sword, torch, quiver and trunk in imitation of bronze in a frame of garlands of flowers. Marked in red: Sèvres II. D. 23,8 cm. Wear and tear and a chip on the heel. Provenance: This plate comes from the pink background service garlanded with flowers and attributes delivered to the Emperor Napoleon I on 8 pluviôse year 13 (28 January 1805) for the imperial palace of Stupinigi in Turin where the Emperor resides before his coronation as King of Italy in May 1805. This service included ninety-six plates decorated with attributes in the center and garlands of flowers and attributes in imitation of bronze on the side.
