1960 GUAZZONI 50
Succession of Mr. X Type : 50 Frame and engine number: 0992 When in 1960 the crisis of the motorcycle market, overwhelmed many companies in Italy such as Bianchi, Parilla and Rumi, it hardly touched Guazzoni. The small Milanese company, with about 20 employees, saved itself by drastically reducing motorcycle production and turning to the kart and speedboat market. From there they will have a strong experience in rotary distributor pointed engines. An engine that will serve as a base when they enter the promising moped market. In 1965 the MATTA was launched, a super-sporty model with 6 hp at the wheel and a top speed of 100 km/h, the most desired 50 in Italy. With only about a hundred units produced per year, production stopped definitively in 1976 with the closure of the company, which was no longer competitive. Buyers are reminded that the entire collection is made up of motorcycles that have remained static in the collector's private museum for many years. A restart is therefore necessary.
