1953 MV AGUSTA 125 MONOALBERO - Lot 19
1953 MV AGUSTA 125 MONOALBERO Succession of Mr. X Type : 125 Monoalbero Engine no. 150118 In 1953, MV Agusta launched the 125 "Monoalbero" (single tree). It will allow a certain Mike Hailwood to make his racing debut. Designed by the famous engineer Pietro Remor, to whom we also owe the four-cylinder Gilera 500, the first MV 500s and the MV 125 double overhead camshaft, the 125 Monoalbero of 1953 is a real gem. It was produced in the factories of the Meccanica Verghera (MV) of the famous Count Agusta to compete in the Formula Sport category, which is very popular on the Italian peninsula. It develops 16 hp at 10,300 rpm and reaches 150 km/h. Only about 200 units were produced. Buyers are reminded that the entire collection consists of motorcycles that have remained static in the collector's private museum for several years. A restart is therefore necessary.
