This motorcycle will set a number of world records and serve as the basis for Gilera's four-cylinder production. After the Second World War, a Gilera won the 500cc world championship three times in a row with Geoff Duke on the handlebars. In 1957, Gilera decided to retire from the world of competition despite an impressive track record, including 44 victories in international Grand Prix.
