SECRETARY in veneer and butterfly wing marquetry in fretworked frames opening with a two-leafed lower part and a flap revealing a writing desk and tiered drawers. One drawer in the belt. Veined marble top. Stamp P.ROUSSEL and mark JME (Pierre ROUSSEL, received Master in 1745) Louis XV Period Height : 142 cm Width : 91 cm Depth : 38 cm (accident at the lock) Note : Pierre Roussel was one of the most important cabinetmaker of the capital. In 1775 he received orders from the Prince of Conde for the Palais-Bourbon and the Château de Chantilly, for a total of 10,000 livres.
