LETTER REFERRING A BEAUTIFUL QUOTE EXTRACTED FROM HIS ROMAN ROME (1896), thought of the abbot Pierre Froment in the last chapter of the work. Second part of the trilogy The Three Cities, Rome appeared in a serial in Le Journal, directed by Fernand Xau. "Dear colleague, serial 114 must end with this sentence: "Ah! If everyone had had this quiet irreligion, this carefree carelessness, so wise, so cheerful, of the incredulous little people of France, what a sudden calm among men, what a happy life!"
