Amaranth and rosewood chest of drawers, curved on the front and sides, opening with three drawers, with stained wood frame and light wood fillets, the white marble top (applied) resting on rounded uprights finished with curved legs, ornamented with gilded bronze with interlacing scraps, discs and clawed hoofs, (small accidents). Attributed to Charles Topino, cabinetmaker received master in 1773. Louis XVI period H: 87 cm, W: 84 cm, D: 54 cm A similar but larger commode is illustrated in J. Nicolay, L'Art et la manière des maîtres ébénistes français au XVIIIe siècle, Paris, 1955, p. 466.
