Flintlock pistol, transformed to percussion, of officer, coming from Major Artaut of the 26th Mounted chasseurs regiment. Gun with sides, damask, with rifling hair. Breech tail engraved with ears of wheat. Lock signed G. BERLEUR and flat-bodied hammer. Engraved and cut-out iron fittings, against platinum with lion decorations. Walnut stock partly squared, decorated with silver nailing, flat back. E.M. (stings, mechanical accident). First Empire period. Guillaume Berleur (1780 - 1840) harquebusier in Liege, who worked in Versailles during the Empire.
