HENRI V Duke of Bordeaux Comte de Chambord (Born September 29, 1820 - † August 24, 1883) Pretender to the throne of France on August 2, 1830 Legend: HENRI V ROI DE FRANCE. Bare head to the left of Henri V, below signature CAPEL F. R/ French ecu crowned between two branches of foliage and berth of 5 - F. Below, date between a lily and the word TEST. Gadoury 653c; Mazard 926. Essay 5 Francs in silver 1871 Brussels. Fluted slice. (25,81 g). Tiny little shots on the obverse. Nice medal skate. Very beautiful. Henri d'Artois, Henri Charles Ferdinand Marie Dieudonné d'Artois, Duke of Bordeaux, better known under the title of Count de Chambord. He is the son of Charles-Ferdinand d'Artois and Marie-Caroline des Deux-Siciles Duchesse de Berry* born on 29 September 1820 at the Tuileries Palace in Paris and died on 24 August 1883 at Frohsdorf Castle** in Lanzenkirchen in Austria at the age of 63. Grandson of King Charles X, chief and last representative. He became king after the abdication of his uncle Louis XIX on 2 August 1830, when he was 10 years old. He will not be crowned. He will reign for 5 days (king not proclaimed). His successor will be his cousin Louis-Philippe I.
