Three pills: -Wax stamp of the privateer "Le Foudroyant. "In brass, marked " LE CORSAIRE LE FOUDROYANT (BORDEAUX), engraved with lightning bolts and " I & G " (Accidents). Handle in blackened turned wood. - Stamp of GUIRAUDIES Notary in Saint Paul (Lot), with the great imperial coat of arms, Second Empire period. The handle is missing. - Iron Duke's wax stamp, with five cakes each loaded with three fleur-de-lys. Ebony handle and cover with a screwable seal. 18th century. History: Le Foudroyant, privateer from Bordeaux with 400 barrels and 20 guns, active around 1798-1799, he took an English brigantine from Halifax in the year VII. She was taken by the English (and the Phoenix) in 1799. She was commanded by Pierre DUGATZ. The owners of Le Foudroyant were IZARD & GERUS, which corresponds to our initials.
