1917 PACKARD Twin-Six V12
Runabout body Serial number: 125235 Series 2-25, 2nd series To register in collection Customs clearance certificate 846 A provided The model presented is a runabout from the 2nd series. The restoration is exemplary. The complete mechanical restoration was carried out by a Packard specialist. What is impressive at first glance is its size: huge! 94 cm Wheels, an extraordinary length and height. Just compare the size of a person next to the car. The various bodies were numerous: Touring; Touring Lounge; Phaeton; Phaeton Lounge; Chopped off ; Limousine; Landaulet Brougham; Runabout or chassis only. In 1917, Packard had a lot of humor and said «We make beautiful cars for a good price to which must be added the seller’s premium ... ask the man who owes one.» Our 2nd series model does not have many differences with the 1st if they have only a larger radiator, a lower chassis on its rear part of an inch and a half, and the surrounds of headlights are painted in black. On this same series, you could have a runabout in 4 places. Today there are very few Twin-Six left, especially in this runabout version (2). We offer you a rare opportunity in Europe or even in the United States to find such a model in this shape.
