Pair of chairs with overturned mahogany backrest and mahogany veneer with ramages, the uprights finished with windings and a floret are topped with gilded bronze swan heads, the belt slightly curved, it rests on front and rear sabre feet. Empire-Restoration Period H : 97 - L : 49 -P : 48 cm (small restorations) Pierre-Antoine Bellangé, cabinetmaker received master in 1788 This addition of gooseneck decoration on a bed whose trace has been lost but reproduced in Sylvain Cordier's detailed monograph 1: Bellangé Ebénistes, a history of taste in the 19th century, which benefits this cabinetmaker and his descendants. The adaptation of this detail testifies to the association between the cabinetmaker and the bronzier solicited, who for Pierre-Antoine Bellangé will often be Lucien-François Feuchère.
