Antoine-Nicolas LESAGE (1748-1841) was one of the most important Parisian merchants under the Restoration, selling the productions of Rémond, Jeanselme; as this description of his store testifies: "one finds gathered in this beautiful establishment all that the fashion can give birth to of more graceful and more sought-after, that is to say pieces of furniture out of native and exotic wood, bronzes, gildings, pendulums, candelabras, etc. One also makes everything that concerns furnishings, such as seats, draperies, bedspreads, curtains, and one also finds there fabrics for furniture, so that it is possible to make there in only one moment purchase of the most beautiful furniture. It is, in a word, one of these houses that we cannot recommend too much for the rare and precious assortment that these vast stores offer in products of our best factories. At the time of the New Year's gifts, one finds there an assortment of pretty small pieces of furniture of ladies and of all other articles suitable to be given in New Year's gifts". He supplies the furniture store of the Crown and counts among his customers the Duchess of Berry.
