Heavy flintlock horn with the POWER family weapons. Round barrel heavily trumpet fired at the mouth, with rim and reinforcing rings, engraved on the first part of the arms of the Power family surmounted by a stag's head and a banner PRO PATRIA SEMPER and engraved TUILAMAINE TIPPERARY. Thunder with pans struck "N.T 242" and engraved "RIGBY. DUBLIN ". Platinum struck V. J RIGBY and flat-bodied gooseneck dog (missing screws and upper jaw of the dog and nut screws). Spark spark plug basin, roller battery spring. Plain cut brass fittings. Walnut stock with brass-tipped barrel. Iron ramrod, mounted on stirrup. With these two strap rings. B.E. Circa 1800-1810. This rifle probably belonged to Sir John Power (1769-1844). Owner of the Castle of TUILAMAINE (county of TIPPERARY in Ireland). Baron in 1836.
