1995 FERRARI 456 GT - Lot 80
- French registration document The Ferrari 456 is the replacement for the 412. Ferrari 2+2s occupy an important place in Maranello's production. In addition to their advantage of conviviality, they have the advantage of their loyalty to the V12 in front position and the elegance of discretion. The 456 was previewed in Brussels by Luca di Montzemollo and Sergio Pininfarina to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Garage Francorchamps. Marking the return to the tradition of the V12-engined GT 2+2s, the Ferrari 456 combines roominess with a saloon design and bourgeois comfort with exceptional performance. Our example, originally French, was delivered new to Charles Pozzi in 1995, in the rare shade of Blue Swaters matched with nero leather. It was subsequently regularly serviced, as evidenced by its duly completed maintenance log, which is rare. In 2019, a major overhaul will be carried out, during which the distribution will be replaced, the steering rack redone as well as the radiator. In 2020, the water pump will be replaced, then at the end of 2023 this 456 will be overhauled again, its odometer then showing 89,000 km. Today, this 456 GT is in good general condition, with a little over 92,000 km on the clock, as shown in its logbook. A collector's item, the 456 is the last Ferrari V12 equipped with the famous mechanical gearbox that is still available. So don't miss this great opportunity. ERRATUM: The timing belt was replaced in 2024.
