Photographs & cameras

Between fascination and rejection, the invention of photography in the 19th century disrupted the perception and experience of humankind with the world. Acting as a scientific, historical, and mnemonic tool, photography also heralded the creation of a new language that would evolve into its own artistic aesthetic.

The establishment of our department aims to showcase the richness of this medium by dedicating two to three auctions per year in Paris. These auctions feature antique, modern, and contemporary works by well-known artists (Baldus, Le Gray, Cameron, Man Ray, Henri Cartier-Bresson, etc.) as well as works by amateurs. Additionally, photography equipment and materials will be included to enhance the collections of both French and international clientele.

We are available by appointment in Fontainebleau, Paris, or Versailles for the estimation and sale of your assets.
