DRAGONS TRUMPET CREST HELMET. Brass headpiece, with gutter along the edge of the headband. Embossed brass crest with gadroon decoration on the wings, decorated on the front with a Medusa head, a palmette and foliage on the lower part. Plain umbrella. Two-part brass marmoset and white horsehair puff. White horsehair mane. Navy cowhide headband. Black leather visor with brass trim. Scale chinstraps mounted on leather (reinforced, accidents). Cut-out petal bosses. Leather and unbleached canvas inner cap (old but later). B.E. First Empire period (wear to turban).
