1980 Ducati SANS RESERVE Dans les années 70, Ducati se retrouve dans une situation financière délicate à cause des 350 et 500 GTL qui n’auront pas honoré les attentes de la marque italienne. En effet son moteur n’est pas le traditionnel bicylindres en « V » mais un « vertical twin » qui souffre d’une fiabilité aléatoire. En 1977, la marque fait appel à Fabio Taglioni, ingénieur de renom, ayant poussé la marque à de nombreux titres en compétition, pour retravailler le moteur et apporter la fiabilité qui lui manquait. En ce qui concerne l’esthétique, c’est Leopoldo Tartarini, reconnu comme étant l’un des designers les plus influant du monde de la moto, qui va se charger de lui donner un look plus sportif et séduisant. Pour se faire, il propose un guidon bracelet, un petit dosseret de selle et des jantes en aluminium coulé. La marque proposera un kit racing permettant de participer aux coupes Desmo 500. La moto présentée est une Ducati Desmo de 1980. D’une couleur rouge évoquant la marque italienne, elle se trouve dans un bel général et semble complète. Elle présente une selle qui semble neuve, un pot d’échappement légèrement patiné et des carénages qui ne sont pas cassés. La béquille centrale est bien présente et fonctionnelle. Question freinage, la moto est équipée de deux disques à l’avant et d’un disque à l’arrière. La mécanique semble fonctionner normalement. 1980 Ducati In the 1970s, Ducati found itself in a delicate financial situation because of the 350 and 500 GTL which did not meet the expectations of the Italian brand. Indeed, the engine was not the traditional V-twin but a vertical twin which suffered from a random reliability. In 1977, the brand called on Fabio Taglioni, a renowned engineer who had led the brand to numerous competition titles, to rework the engine and provide the reliability that was missing. As for the aesthetics, Leopoldo Tartarini, recognised as one of the most influential designers in the world of motorbikes, was in charge of giving it a sportier and more seductive look. To achieve this, he proposes a wristband handlebar, a small seat backrest and cast aluminium rims. The brand will offer a racing kit to participate in the Desmo 500 cups. The bike on display is a 1980 Ducati Desmo. The bike is red in colour, reminiscent of the Italian brand, and is in good condition and looks complete. It has a new looking seat, a slightly weathered exhaust pipe and fairings that are not broken. The centre stand is present and functional. As far as braking is concerned, the bike is equipped with two discs at the front and one disc at the rear. The mechanics seem to work normally.
