This Porsche 912 Targa, one of the first to be produced with a short chassis and soft window, was first registered in the United States on December 31, 1967. It was then acquired new in California by Mrs. Demattos. Born in Sanarac Lake, New York District in 1941, she then married a Frenchman, Mr. Cormier. She was then head of a Computer Services company in New York from 1969 to 1993, keeping her Porsche 912 Targa, until she took it with her to France when she retired in Cosne sur Loire. She had the car restored by the Garage Petit, precisely in Cosne sur Loire. She then chose to have the car repainted in Burgundy Red. Mrs. Cormier sold the car in 2012 to its current owner. The car is now in good working order, an expert report worth 70 000 € indicates that the 1600 cm3 engine #755374 (corresponding to the year and model of the car) has been rebuilt. Its bodywork is in good condition despite some paint defects while its interior is in good original condition with the exception of the recently replaced carpets.
This Porsche 912 Targa is very interesting not only for its history, but also because it is one of the few cars produced in the first year of the model's launch, with its short chassis and characteristic soft rear window. It will be sold with its expert report dated November 2018, as well as its original Owner's Manual in English and technical documentation.
