1967 Citroën DS 21 Pallas - Lot 114
1967 Citroën DS 21 Pallas
Chassis number: 4379085
Collector's registration document
- Mythical model in a rare and sought-after configuration
- Pivotal 1967 vintage - first equipped with green LHM circuit
- Elegant Palladium Grey paintwork, natural leather upholstery and radio option
The DS has long been an absolute icon of the French automobile, a symbol of refinement, innovation and avant-gardism. The 1967 model occupies a special place in this legend: it was the first year in which the green LHM hydraulic system was adopted, a major technical advance that improved reliability, endurance and ease of maintenance.
The model presented here was delivered new on October 24, 1966, making it one of the very first models of the 1967 vintage. It is a Pallas version, presented in its original Palladium Grey color, with natural leather upholstery and Continental Edison radio. The original manual is still present, annotated by the first owner, who carefully recorded all maintenance operations. As a result, we know that the car has covered 136,000 km since leaving the factory, before its first owner parted with it in the early 1980s.
In the early 2000s, the car joined the collection of an enthusiastic marque enthusiast, where it remained until 2021. Never restored, but repainted at one time, this DS has a patina consistent with its age and history. A revision of the hydraulic system will be required to obtain a valid technical inspection.
This DS testifies to the care that has been taken over the decades. Its rarity, historic status and elegance make it a particularly sought-after model for discerning enthusiasts.
