1932 Buick Series 90 4-Door Club Sedan - Lot 89
1932 Buick Series 90 4-Door Club Sedan Chassis number: 2631333 French collector's registration Introduced in 1932, the Buick Série 90 represented the top of the range of the American marque, both in terms of finish and engine. Equipped with a 3,350 cm³ in-line 8-cylinder engine developing 113 bhp at 3,200 rpm, it was capable of reaching 130 km/h, a remarkable performance for its time. Only 1,368 examples of this 7-seater version - with two integrated folding seats - were produced. This model features a full range of optional equipment, including a chrome grille, a single-bar bumper, a touring trunk with holder, and a clock, moved into the glovebox to allow installation of a radio at the time. It also benefits from long directional spans, turning with the wheels, a rare and sophisticated feature for this generation. The car is presented in a well-preserved state and is in good working order. The carburetor and fuel pump have been overhauled. The carburetor could be adjusted or slightly enriched for optimum performance, as the car currently requires a little cold choke. The three-speed manual gearbox works well, and the ride is smooth and pleasant, offering a road experience typical of the great American sedans of the 1930s. Note that our Buick is the 1932 Buick known as "the Chinese man's limousine", one of the stars of Jean-Jacques Annaud's film "L'Amant". A prestigious and well-equipped model, this Buick Series 90 combines period elegance, mechanical nobility and rarity, while remaining usable in today's road conditions. 1932 Buick Series 90 4-Door Club Sedan Chassis: 2631333 French vintage vehicle registration document Introduced in 1932, the Buick Series 90 represented the top of the range for the American brand, both in terms of its finish and its engine.
