Introduced in 1989, the Mercedes-Benz 300 CE-24 is one of the pinnacles of the W124 coupé range. Its 3.0-liter, 24-valve M104 in-line six-cylinder engine develops 220 hp, and is distinguished by its smoothness, reliability and characteristic muffled sound, thanks in particular to its automatic gearbox.
The vehicle presented was delivered new to the Mercedes-Benz dealership on Avenue Maréchal Foch in Lyon on December 6, 1991. It is accompanied by its original invoice for 389,000 francs, as well as its service manuals and service book, attesting to regular maintenance over the years. It also boasts a fine set of original equipment including: electric sunroof, Tempomat (cruise control), rear curtains and 8-hole wheels, options that enhance its comfort and elegance.
The owner tells us that the vehicle recently benefited from a complete overhaul in his workshop, with the replacement of numerous parts: engine and gearbox drain with strainer, engine and fuel filters, brake discs and pads, shock absorbers, intermediate and rear silencer exhaust, transmission flector, oil cooler, engine mounts, ignition head complete with ignition cables, as well as a set of Michelin 4-season tires. These interventions testify to careful and rigorous maintenance (no invoice).
Preserved in its original configuration, this 300 CE-24 has a valid MOT and French papers. A true German GT from the early 1990s, the 300 CE-24 combines power, comfort and distinction.
