Constantiæ, sumptibus Jacobi Friderici Bez sociorum, 1770. 4tomes in 2forts volumes in-folio, printing on 2columns, cold-stamped sowskin on wood, metal clasps, red edges; some wetness and tears (period binding). Bilingual edition comprising the Latin text of the Vulgate in its Sixtoclementine version, with a German translation prepared by a group of Benedictines from Ettenheimmünster Abbey under the direction of Germain Cartier. It includes an extensive critical apparatus borrowed notably from the Church Fathers, and, as an appendix, a dissertation on the location of the terrestrial paradise written by Germain Cartier's brother, Gall Cartier, also a monk at Ettenheimmünster Abbey.
