Paris, Desessart, 1846. 2 vols. in-8, 308 +310 [mis-coded 1à308, 305, 306]-(2)pp., ornate black half-chagrin, burgundy chagrined paper-covered boards; spines restored, boards a little rubbed and faded, some wetness in the first volume (period binding). A rare first edition, of which only a few head copies were printed on hollande. Provenance: "CC" (crowned bookplates from the "bibliothèque de Saint-Germain"); Charles-Albert Gigault de Crisenoy de Lyonne (bookplates from the library of the villa Crisenoy in Houlgate); comte de Bonvouloir (bookplates from the library of the château de Magny-en-Bessin in Calvados).
