Superb copy, enriched with 2 items: an autograph letter signed by Alphonse de Lamartine to Dr. Charles-Alexandre Morin (1861), thanking him for sending his book Larrey, poëme en trois chants; and a letter concerning the tomb of Abbé Dumont at Bussières in Saône-et-Loire, which inspired Alphonse de Lamartine to write the character of Jocelyn, probably autograph signed by the curé of Bussières (1910). -Raphaël. Pages from the twentieth year. Paris, Perrotin, Furne etCie, 1849. Large in-8, ornate half-chagrin, gilt head; spine faded, some foxing (modern binding). Edition of which only a few first copies were printed on large paper. Enriched with a copper-engraved portrait of Alphonse de Lamartine by Charles Pye and the 6eaux-fortes engraved by Tony Johannot for the 1850 Perrotin edition.
