Large in-12, half-brown shagreened basane with corners, gilt head; covers preserved at end of volume; some wetness, covers worn, one leaf marginally missing (modern binding). First edition of this work written in collaboration with Horace Raisson. Covers of the second edition also preserved, glued to those of the original. -Théorie de la démarche. Paris, Eugène Didier, 1853. In-16, paperback in covers printed in burgundy ink; the volume is loose. First edition of this text, which was not reprinted in the Furne et Houssiaux collective edition.
