First edition, first issue, before boards on ff.I1 (pp.129-130) andR6 (267-268). An interesting and erudite treatise on the political and social strengths and weaknesses of ancient Rome, bridging the gap between the ironically observed Persian Letters and L'Esprit des loix, which proposes a new political and social order based on reason.
