Second edition of this work devoted to the gladiators of ancient Rome. Illustrated first edition with 16 copper-engraved folding plates, 4 large format, unnumbered, and 12 medium format, lettered A to M. In-4, 105-(3d of which the last blank)pp. copper-engraved illustration: 2 folding plates out of text mounted on tabs (views of the Colosseum) and a composition in the text.
