In-12, (24including the second blank)-276pp, granite brown basane, ribbed spine cloisonné and fleuronné with garnet title-piece, ornamented edges, speckled edges; binding a little stained with restored headpieces and corners (period binding). 300 / 400 € Largely original edition, including 9 fables, the tale "Lesquiproquo", and various pieces of verse (poetic epistles to Madame de LaFayette, Saint-Évremond, etc.), some of which had already appeared in Holland. Provenance: handwritten bookplate on front flyleaf, repeated on title.
