Small in-8, ornate marbled brown calf; slightly worn binding with spotting, renewed title-pieces and first end-papers, marginal spotting (binding circa 1700). Edition published the year after the original given in Amsterdam. Provenance: "Jourdain" (handwritten bookplate dated 1673); "deBarat de Boncourt" (handwritten bookplate dated 1731). -LeMonde [...] ou le Traité de la lumière, et autres principaux objets des sens. AParis, chez Jacques Le Gras, 1664. Small in-8, ornate granulated brown calf; incomplete with the treatise on fevers printed as an appendix; binding a little worn with spotting (period binding). First edition. Important woodcut illustrations in the text.
