1966 ALPINE A108 FASA CABRIOLET Type A110 Convertible bodywork Serial number C 0115 Yellow color, red and black interior Launched in December 1966 French collector's registration This A108 cabriolet (Renault Dauphine engine) was built in Valladolid in Valladolid by FASA, Renault's Spanish subsidiary. The Dieppe-based brand produced few cabriolets compared with coupés, but what is exceptional is that the berlinettes A108 then A110 are a declination of the cabriolet, which was was produced long before the coupé, whereas it's usually the other way round! The A110 cabriolets were produced in France and Mexico, and the A108 cabriolets in France, Spain and Brazil. The model we're presenting here is an Iberian very similar to the French model. It has retained retained its original mechanics, its two unique headlights on its characteristic bow, its original fenders and running gear, including including 15-inch R8 wheels. It has its steering wheel, specific to Alpine FASA cars, as well as a heater heater, mechanical rev counter and a beautiful aluminum rocker aluminum rocker cover. The paintwork has a lovely patina that transports us with nostalgia to our beautiful national roads. The original soft top should be replaced, unless driving in the open air is a must on every outing! The windscreen is currently made of plexiglass, which will have to be replaced by a glass one for road use.
