The Chevrolet Corvette is without doubt one of the most emblematic models in American automotive history. Since its launch in 1953, it has captivated sports car enthusiasts with its bold design, impressive performance and resolutely performance-oriented spirit. Over the generations, the Corvette has established itself as a true icon, evolving with the times while retaining its legendary muscle-car DNA.
The first of its kind, the Corvette C1 introduced fiberglass to the automobile and ushered in a new era for American sports cars. Its sleek design and curves symbolize the 50s. As early as 1955, the adoption of the V8 small block engine gave the Corvette its signature sound and exceptional performance for its time.
The Corvette C2, nicknamed Sting Ray, embodies a major evolution with its more muscular lines and technical innovations such as retractable headlamps and an improved chassis. Available as a coupe and cabriolet, it is equipped with ever more powerful V8 engines, providing the perfect balance between design and performance.
With its generous curves and shark-like stance, the C3 Corvette embodies the sports cars of the 70s. Inspired by the Mako Shark II prototype, it stands out for its flowing design and wide fenders. Available in Targa and cabriolet versions, the C3 adapts to all driving styles, from open-air cruising to pure performance. Under the hood, the V8s are ever more imposing, notably with the appearance of big-block versions such as the 454 ci. Its long hood, sculptural lines and interior make it a true muscle car, but also a grand tourer capable of long distances.
The 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible on offer is a fine example, having been owned by just two people. Acquired in 1991 by the current owner, it had been bought from its first American owner, who had obviously ordered it new. It therefore appears to be second-hand.
In good general condition, this Corvette recently benefited from a complete overhaul, with a bill of €3,400. Work carried out included replacement of all four tires, handbrake shoes and cable, as well as a caliper repair kit and engine oil change. In addition, a new Holley carburettor has been fitted, but the original carburettor is supplied with the car, allowing it to retain its desired authenticity.
This cabriolet is equipped with a manual gearbox and the legendary 5.7-liter V8, offering a powerful yet smooth ride. The vehicle also comes with a battery charger and chrome luggage rack. With a French registration, the car also comes with an FFVE document, enabling it to be converted to a collector's registration.
This 1967 Corvette represents a great opportunity for American car enthusiasts to own a masterpiece of automotive history. It currently boasts 96,666 miles on the odometer.
