Serial number GHN5UE339141G

Clear history
At the London Motor Show in September 1962, MG launched the MGA's successor, logically named the MGB. With more modern lines, the car's design is tauter and more angular. With windows in the doors, it's no longer a roadster but a convertible. In the end, the MGB is much less spartan than the MGA.
The 1974 MGB cabriolet we're offering began life in sunny California, and delivered new with a "Tundra" tint, "Autumn Leaf" interior and black soft top, this MG was captivating from the start. After spending half its life in California, it crossed the Atlantic in the '90s to Belgium, where it found a new owner. Finally, in 1999, it was acquired by the family of its current owner.
The car benefits from the official "British Motor Industry Heritage Trust" certificate, confirming its pedigree and original specifications. 25 years ago, this MGB benefited from a complete restoration, with full dismantling and painting in a pale yellow hue, giving it a new lease of life. Its original engine was replaced in 2010 by a standard exchange engine, now fitted with an unleaded cylinder head, with a usage of 10,000 miles in 14 years. In 2021, a major overhaul was carried out, including rebuilding the front axle and upgrading the engine components, including installation of electronic ignition, rebuilding the carburetors and replacing the hoses. All at a cost of almost €2,000.
Today, this MGB is in good overall condition and perfectly embodies the classic, sporty spirit of British roadsters of the 70s. An opportunity for enthusiasts of classic vehicles, or those wishing to start out with a car that is pleasant and easy to maintain.
