1972 PEUGEOT 504 Cabriolet Fuel Injection - Lot 13
1972 PEUGEOT 504 Cabriolet Fuel Injection Chassis number 1416479 French registration Mythical car Timeless lines In 1968, Peugeot launched the 504, the new sedan spearheading the range. In 1969, the brand entrusted Pininfarina with the design of the coupe and cabriolet derivatives of the new 504. Pininfarina outdid itself by creating a separate model that shared no body elements with the sedan. Launched with the same powertrains as the sedan, the cabriolet was initially equipped with an 1800 cm3 4-cylinder injection engine. This first engine was soon replaced by a 2000 cm3. 1974 saw the arrival of the V6 PRV. In 1978, Peugeot reintroduced the more affordable, reliable and economical 4-cylinder engine. The model we're offering is a 2.0 convertible from 1972. It has the particularity of having been completely modernized throughout its life to give it the general appearance of a Phase 3. With its 5-speed gearbox, power steering and modifications to bodywork, upholstery (fabric) and dashboard, many elements were revised and modernized. (No invoices). Acquired by its current owner in 2016, this car has just been overhauled and is running smoothly. The 504 Cabriolet is France's last grand touring cabriolet, with a rising market value.
