2005 LOTUS ELISE S2 - Lot 10
2005 LOTUS ELISE S2 Sold without registration - Not registered in France - Sold without technical inspection - Toyota 192 hp engine - For track use only Introduced in 1996, the first Lotus Elise was the car that enabled the brand to escape the torments that had plagued it since the 1980s. Indeed, the Esprit, Elan and other Elite models failed to live up to expectations. It was time to return to our roots. Lightness, responsiveness and maneuverability were the watchwords guiding the Elise project. A benchmark in the world of "Light is right" was born. A fiberglass body on an epoxy-bonded aluminum chassis, a four-cylinder engine from the Rover catalog in a central rear position, a spartan yet comfortable interior once you've crossed the threshold - all for the benefit of driving sensations, even more than for pure performance. 2001 saw the launch of the second generation Elise. Slightly heavier at 710 kg unladen, it offered a more qualitative presentation to appeal to a wider customer base. In 2004, it adopted a new Toyota engine developing 136 hp. Today's model is a second series Lotus Elise S, launched in 2005. Immobilized for several years, this model cannot be registered in France, as its serial number is blocked. As a result, no technical inspection or certificate of non-pledge will be provided by the auction house. Due to its immobilization, we recommend a general overhaul of the mechanics. This model is intended for track and parts use only. 2005 LOTUS ELISE S2 Sold without a registration document - Not registered in France - 192 bhp Toyota engine - For track use or parts only Introduced in 1996, the first Lotus Elise was the car that enabled the brand to escape the torments that had plagued it since the 1980s.
