Voiture de manège Brabant, Circa 1940 Wooden car mounted on a pedestal Length: 125 cm - Height: 48 cm In original condition, nicely patinated, worn. Provenance: said to have been mounted on an East German steam merry-go-round. This Brabant automobile is said to be a true relic of East Germany. Once mounted on a steam merry-go-round, it was repatriated to the West after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, according to its owner. If the passion for motoring doesn't wait for the passing of time, we can well imagine these children becoming daredevil drivers aboard the steam-powered carousel. There's no doubt that this Brabant will have worn out many an East German child's pants.
