The German Occupation changed all that. In June 1943, a category of motorcycles from 50 cm3 to 125 cm3 was created, which could be registered without a license. It was in this "niche" that the bulk of French production of motorized two-wheelers - excluding mopeds - took place until the early 1960s, with total production for all manufacturers approaching 150,000 per year, and even exceeding this figure in 1954. The Type EP (after Edmond Padovani) was delivered from spring 1947. This young engineer, Edmond Padovani, designed the famous 125 Terrot from A to Z. This motorette was carefully studied and was the 1st to be produced in medium series. Padovani brought to the project his experience as a former racer and his practical experience as a technician.
