1979 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 1500 - Lot 64
1979 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 1500 No reserve Chassis number: 5048786 Italian collector French registration Erratum : Ct in reverse because of corrosion on front right side The Alfasud is a small entry-level car from the Italian manufacturer, produced from 1972 to 1984. In 1976, the model was upgraded to a coupé, the Sprint. From a purely aesthetic point of view, the Sprint looks more like the Alfetta GTV than the basic Alfasud. It boasts a racy look, with a more raked windshield, a flatter fastback rear window and slightly more prominent front and rear fascias. Mechanically, the Sprint was available with three different boxer engines: a 1.3 with 76 hp, and from 1978 a 1.3 with 79 hp and a 1.5 with 95 hp. In 1983, the Alfasud was restyled with plastic bumpers, a new interior and wider headlamps. The model shown is a 1979 Alfasud Sprint, one of 116,552 produced. This little sports car is a veritable time capsule of the '80s, fitted with a webasto and a body kit to modernize its lines. It is powered by a 95 hp 1500 engine, the most powerful available at the time. A small coupe like no other, this Alfa Romeo boasts excellent roadholding combined with a sparkling boxer engine. 1979 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 1500 Chassis number: 5048786 Italian collector French registration No reserve The Alfasud was a small entry-level car from the Italian manufacturer, produced from 1972 to 1984.
