1934 Ford V8 Model 40 - Lot 23
1934 Ford V8 Model 40 No reserve Extremely rare export version Delivered new in France 2 owners in 68 years French registration In 1932, Ford decided to replace the Model A. For this new model, the brand's engineers started from scratch. During production, 3 versions were produced: the Model B, the Model 18 and the Model 40, all grouped together by enthusiasts under the Ford 1932 name. Ford 1932s were also the first to receive a V8 engine. It was with this model that this fabulous engine was democratized. The car we're offering for sale is a 1934 Model 40 with coachwork. It has the rare distinction of having been delivered new in France from the Bocquet factory in Saint Ouen. While the 4-cylinder version was produced in France and thus more widely distributed, the V8 was imported. But because of its fiscal power and import taxes, it proved to be unaffordable and not widely available. We were able to trace the car's ownership history back to 1956, when it was acquired by an enthusiast in the Yvelines region. He kept it until 1984, when it was acquired by its current owner. Showing traces of early restoration, this car has a beautiful patina. Not having been driven since 2019, the car runs but requires a general overhaul before hitting the road. 1934 Ford V8 Model 40 No reserve Extremely rare export version Delivered new in France 2 owners in 68 years French registration In 1932, Ford decided to replace the Model A.
