GENERAL OFFICER'S REGULATION SWORD AU REGLEMENT DE L'AN VI. Lictor-beam fuse. Helmet pommel with grid. Single-branch hilt adorned with a fringed tassel on either side, two straight quillons, one large and one small, one ending in a foliate flower bud. Shell chased with studding and foliage. Fine Solingen flat-back blade, signed "S" and "K", engraved, gilded and blued in thirds. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings (not to model). A.B.E. Directoire period. This sword, adopted by the ministerial regulation of 20 Thermidor An VI, was the first regulation sword for general officers.
