"My darling, just two lines so you don't worry. I've just had dinner in Déville [probably with her brother Léon Monet]. I had promised to go and at 6:1/2 I was still in front of my cathedral. FIEVREUX ET [H]ARRASSE DE FATIGUE, CE N'SERA PAS FAUTE D'ENERGIE SI JE N'ENIRE PAS ENTHIRE QUAT DE MAL MALGRE CET ABOMINABLE TEMPS [Claude Monet stayed twice in Rouen to paint views of the cathedral, in February-April 1892 and February-April 1893].
