SHAKO OF INFANTRY NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER OF THE YOUNG GUARD MODEL 1812. Shaft covered with taupe felt. Decorated black leather cap and visor. Silver braid, velvet bourdalou with brass buckle and two iron barbs. Cut-out brass plate with crowned eagle. Golden eagle button and gimp. Silver, red and blue silk passementerie cockade. Chinstraps with cut-out scales, copper guilloche and brass pomegranate rosettes (traces of re-piercing), all gilded. Inner leather cap. Two-tone wool ball pompom, red on bottom, white on top (2nd Regiment). B.E. First Empire period.
