SIGNET RING WITH THE BONAPARTE FAMILY COAT OF ARMS. Chased gold ring (repair) with octagonal bezel encircling a carnelian intaglio engraved with the arms of the Bonaparte family in a leafy setting under a lion crest. On either side, a small diamond in a closed silver setting. In a shaped green morocco case decorated with gold filleting, sheathed in ivory velvet, with hook closure. Gross weight: 5.7 g. St Jacques shell and swan hallmarks (after 1994) applied when the ring was repaired. A.B.E. First part of the 19th century for the signet ring, mid-19th century case. Provenance : - According to the enclosed certificate, this signet ring came from the MANHES family, through Charles Antoine MANHES (1777-1854), first aide-de-camp and friend of Marshal MURAT. - Then Jean Louis Noisiez collection
