1979 Porsche 930 3.3L - Lot 86
1979 Porsche 930 3.3L Series 9308700130 - 60,000 € invoices - Exceptional configuration - French registration - Same owner for 31 years The first turbocharged engines appeared on the 911 generation of Porsches, available on the Turbo 3.0L and the Turbo 3.3L known as the "930". Produced from 1978, the 930 Turbo 3.3L increased in displacement to 300 hp, compared with 260 hp for the 3.0L. The 930 is easily recognizable from the outside, with widened front and rear fenders, Fuchs rims, an imposing spoiler and bumper gussets. Originally, only 500 examples of the 930 were to be produced in order to take part in Le Mans. In the end, however, the success of this model prompted the German company to continue production. It's true that this Porsche requires a good grasp of the basics, especially the throttle on wet roads and in bends, because when the turbo kicks in, power is in short supply. This model was delivered new in Switzerland. Traced back to 1989 in the Jura region, it was acquired in 1991 by a Jura enthusiast, who kept it for 31 years. In 2022, it was acquired by its current owner. This beautifully-configured car has been restored over the last few years at a cost of over 60,000 euros. Nostalgic for the 80s, this symbol of an entire era, like the Testarossa and Countach, is waiting for you. 1979 Porsche 930 3.3L Series 9308700130 - €60,000 in invoices - Exceptional configuration - French registration document - Same owner for 31 years The first turbo engines appeared on the 911 generation of Porsches, available on the Turbo 3.0L and the Turbo 3.3L known as the "930".
