Géo Ham (Georges Hamel) 1900-1972 Grand Prix Automobile organisé par le Motocycle Club de France, 1935. Affiche, imprimerie Max Courteau, Paris, datée 6.35. 40 x 30 cm. Motocycle Club de France was founded in 1903. Society for the encouragement of tourism and motorbike and car sports. The Motocycle Club de France also organised its Grand Prix de France from 1924 to 1937, with the participation of both national and international competitors. After the war, the name was changed to Critérium de vitesse MCF from 1960 to 1971. In 1935, the following categories will compete in this GP motorbike event: 175cmc, 250cmc, 350cmc and 500cmc and for cars and cycle-cars of 750cmc, 1.100cmc, and 1.500cmc. In the top category of over 1,500 cmc with compressor, Bugatti, Maserati or Alfa Romeo are competing. It is one of them that Geo Ham has chosen to represent to evoke this race; the Tipo B (P3) ! Also, it was two Alfa Romeo 3Ls - with Raymond Sommer in the lead - that won, followed by a Bugatti on the third step of the podium. A few weeks after his victory at the MCF Grand Prix 1935, Raymond Sommer on his Alfa-Romeo Typo B (P3) won with the same car the Grand Prix de Picardie 1935
