Mr. B. Collection WITHOUT RESERVATION 1967 BUICK RIVIERA G.S Serial number : 4948774903913 Same owner for 36 years ! French registration 15 000 / 20 000 The Buick Riviera began its career in 1949 and was then the muscular sports car of the American brand. In 1963, the name "Riviera" was used to designate a model in its own right in the range and no longer for vehicles without center pillars. Produced only as a coupe body, the Riviera took its chassis from the Oldsmobile Toronado, another typical muscle car of the period. In 1965, a more aggressive version was added to the catalog: the Gran Sport. This version of the Riviera allowed Buick to respond to Ford's Thunderbird. There were five different engines in all versions. The entry-level model offers a 3.8L V6, then the range expands to include four V8s with displacements ranging from 5.7L to 7.5L. All the equipment is electric, the headlights are retractable. The model we present is a Riviera Gran Sport from 1967. Owned by a collector in love with the American brand, this car was acquired in 1987 by him. If the paint shows some wear and tear, the mechanics are not. The engine is running smoothly and the horses are not waiting. The exhaust is new. A coupe, yes... but with more than enough room to accommodate 5 people in the cabin, this car will take you far with a typical American V8 purr. We drove it for 40 kilometers and it allowed us to realize how reliable the mechanics can be on these cars. Star of the "V8 Magazine" in December/January 1996/97, this Buick Riviera comes with a technical control showing only a few minor defects. Impressive for its age! Its owner indicates in this magazine its condition: "the apparent freshness of this car comes as much from its restoration as from its life which has been preserved from the occasional handyman". 1967 BUICK RIVIERA G.S Serial number: 4948774903913 Same owner for 36 years!
